The emphasis of this program is twofold. First, participating athletes will follow a sophisticated development curriculum. Through this program, they will be exposed to advanced tactical, positional, and transitional training. These repetitions enable the goalie to make “real” change in their technical response. Secondly, while many goalies develop strong technical assets, they are not mentored in the instinctive, competitive and anticipatory skills sets. Expansion of these intangibles is often the missing piece of the puzzle and the primary emphasis of the GDI4 progression.
